期門(肝經(jīng)14) Qimen(LR14).

 穴義
期，周期；門，門戶。
兩側(cè)脅肋如敝開之門戶。穴在脅肋部，經(jīng)氣運(yùn)行至此為一周期。故稱期門。

Meaning
Qi, cycle; men, door.
The flanks on both sides are like an open door, where the point is located. When the Qi of meridian circulates here, it is considered as one cycle. The point is therefore named Qimen.

定位
乳頭直下，第六肋間隙。
|
Location
below the nipple, in the 6th intercostal space.
|
|
主治
① 疏肝利膽，治療肝膽病的要穴；
② 局部治肋間神經(jīng)痛。
|
Indication
1. main point to treat diseases of the liver and the gallbladder.
2. intercostal neuralgia.
|
|
針法
① 斜刺或平刺0.5-0.8寸；
② 肋間隙中的腧穴，針刺時(shí)應(yīng)在肋骨的上緣進(jìn)針，這樣可以避免刺傷肋間血管，因?yàn)槔唛g血管均在肋骨的下緣；
③ 本穴不宜深刺，以免刺傷內(nèi)臟。

Method
1. puncture obliquely and horizontally 0.5-0.8 cun.
2. for the points in the intercostal space, insert the needle at the superior margin where intercostal vasculars are located to avoid hurting.
3. deep insertion should be avoided in order not to hurt the internal organs.
